The museum is situated in the last remaining slate shed on the harbour, A large collection of artefacts depicting the seafaring activities of the area are on display.

Thomas Edward Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) was born in Snowdon Lodge (Tŷ Lawrence), Tremadog, on 16th August 1888. He gained notoriety leading an Arab rebellion against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War.
This bronze on slate maquette of Lawrence of Arabia has been created by internationally known sculptor, David Williams-Ellis.
The Snowdonia National Park covers 823 square miles of North-West Wales. It is the largest and earliest of the three National Parks of Wales, being established in 1951.
